Craftsman in the construction industry have faced a continuous problem when caulking in cold weather - finding a way to keep the caulk and other temperature sensitive items warm enough to flow freely or stick for efficient application. The Caulk Warmer, a new invention recently introduced to the construction industry, solves this age old problem in the building trades. As any skilled builder will tell you, warm caulk flows and fills better, which gives smoother joints and better adhesion and sealing. But caulk that is too stiff to flow, or adhesives and tapes that don't stick, or foams that can't be sprayed because of cold cause frustrating losses of time and money on any job site or project. And up to now, the options for keeping caulk warm have been inventive, but primitive and inefficient at best. Stories abound between contractors about the different options they have used to keep caulk and other items warm, or to warm them up for the days use. Some of these methods include keeping caulk warm in buckets of water or running a truck or vehicle during the day to keep the caulk tubes warm. One contractor even put a metal gallon can under the hood near the engine of his truck. The can would hold about five tubes of caulk and would warm up on his drive to work. And glaziers, perhaps the most innovative of all, sometimes keep extra tubes under their armpits while working to keep them warm. Caulk manufacturers used to sell a large heated box for keeping caulk and other temperature sensitive items warm on site, but they were too clunky and expensive and are no longer sold today. But a new and better option is now available - the Caulk Warmer, a unique patented warming bag that combines a light weight economical heat source with a flexible heat reflecting shield to retain heat in the bag and keep caulk and other items warm. This allows caulk and other temperature sensitive items to flow more freely in cold weather, speeding up application time, relieving strain on users arms and hands and providing better sealing and appearance. A Caulk Warmer produces better filling and application any time the temperature drops below 50 degrees. Caulk Warmer bags will keep caulk at 80 degrees even when the outside temperature drops to -13, making caulking in cold weather easy. The heavy duty nylon canvas bag has a backstrap with a quick disconnect for looping over railings, plugs into 120V AC or 12V DC inverter, requires only 50 watts of power, and has a convenient cord storage pouch on the front. There is a convenient on/off switch and the internal temperature is thermostatically controlled. The Caulk Warmer will hold 12 (1 case) of standard size caulk tubes, or 7 quart size tubes, or 12 sausage size tubes, or 7 cans of foam, or a case of floor tile. Other suggested uses are temperature sensitive construction products such as adhesives, grease cartridges, windows and door sealing tape, insulating foam, gloves, welding rods, and more. New users rave about the money and time savings gained when using the Caulk Warmer. Savings on workers costs, and also on not running trucks all day to keep caulk tubes warm can really add up.
