For lighting this means that you will try to mimic illumination filtered through paper. You can do this by putting lights behind paper panels. This will give a special diffuse illumination in the bathroom. This type of light is very calming and helps you to feel relaxed. A Japanese look can also be obtained by a hanging lamp. To give a soft illumination effect you can use a white paper shade. You can use a shoji lamp; this is covered with rice paper and made of wood.
